It was our Malaysia day long weekend, and we didn't wanted to waste by it lazing around at home so we decided to follow my friend's camping group for a little adventure. (Don't get me wrong I love lazing around at home). Lata Medang is just an hour drive away from the city. It is actually located quite near to the famous Sungai Chilling.

We had our second breakfast at this Kopitiam in Serendah which is famous for their Malaysian style breakfast with Kopi O, Half Boiled Eggs, Toasted Bread & Nasi Lemak. And of course not forgetting their 鸡蛋茶 and 马来糕.

To our dismay, it started to pour heavily after we set up the tents.
We were all drench and cold. But thank god for the invention of cup noodles and instant coffees which helped us to keep ourselves warm. Luckily we had a little camp fire which was used to BBQ food throughout the rain. At night, the campsite was pretty peaceful with no sight of mosquitoes.
Only on the second day we managed to hike towards the waterfall. It was gorgeous.
Took 2 hours up and 1.5 hours down. It was acceptable for me as it is not very steep and I'm a slow hiker.

Overall, the trip was really enjoyable and it was good to be away from the city. We bathed in the river, pee-ed in the river as well, and try our best not to poop. It made us realized how blessed we are with proper toilets and plumbing system.
Will I do this again? Yes probably.
